The WeCare-Association is registered as an association in Switzerland. It is tax-exempt in the canton of Zurich and recognized as a non-profit organization.
The company was founded in 2016 by Susanne Riz and Robert Buchbauer and the Executive Board was expanded in 2019.

Susanne Riz

Professional Background
  • Susanne Riz was born on April 29, 1966 and completed her studies in Business Administration and Art at the University of Innsbruck with two Master’s degrees.
  • She began her career in the marketing departments of L’Oréal and LVMH and gained valuable experience in international brand management.
  • After moving to Switzerland, Susanne became a mother of two and worked on various self-employed projects.
  • In 2016, she founded the WeCare-Association together with her husband, driven by a passion for empowerment and creating better opportunities for individuals and communities in need.

Robert Buchbauer

  • Robert Buchbauer is an experienced board member and entrepreneur with extensive expertise in the global luxury and consumer goods industry.
  • As former CEO of Swarovski’s Consumer Goods and Crystal Business, he led the transformation of the brand and established it as a global leader in jewelry, watches, retail and e-commerce.
  • Robert brings extensive experience in business model transformation, corporate governance and value creation and has worked with both family-owned businesses and global organizations.

Manuela Pastore

Professional Background
  • Manuela Pastore was born in Zurich on May 14, 1968 and began her career more than 25 years ago at the LVMH Group, where she built up in-depth expertise in the luxury beauty industry.
  • She speaks four languages – German, Italian, French and English – and is known for her exceptional communication skills.
  • Manuela is an organizational talent with extensive experience in working with national and international project teams.
  • She has supported the WeCare-Association for several years, even before it was officially founded, and shares its philosophy of empowerment.

Klara Bucher

Professional Background
  • Klara Bucher was born in Basel on July 23, 1970, attended grammar school and studied economics at the University of Basel.
  • After completing her training, she worked as a management consultant for various companies in Zurich before specializing in auditing, finance and tax.
  • In 2005, she joined the company “Ärzte Treuhand” and obtained her diploma as a certified tax expert in 2013.
  • Klara is the mother of three grown-up children and supports the WeCare-Association with her financial expertise.

Ines Syz

Professional Background
  • Ines Syz was born in Zurich on November 24, 1968. After graduating from business school, she worked for American Express for several years before working for a lawyer for many years.
  • Since the birth of her four children, she has devoted herself full-time to her family and pursued numerous creative interests.
  • She is a talented baker, known for her wonderful cakes for various occasions, and is actively involved in charitable projects.
  • Her passion for playing the violin and classical music led her to join the board of the Suzuki Association of the Suzuki Violin School Lucerne Zurich Basel.

Esther Enkelmann

Professional Background
  • Esther Enkelmann was born in 1971 in Mittelberg, Austria, and is proud to be the mother of four children.
  • In recent years, she has dedicated herself to developing her couture label “Esthermann”, fulfilling her long-held desire to live out her creative potential.
  • Esther has been a member of the WeCare-Association Board since March 2022 and is responsible for the conceptual development of the WeCare Association.
  • Her couture label pursues a sustainable approach that harmonizes well with the values of the WeCare Association.

Marcia Huber

Professional Background
  • Márcia was born in Belém do Pará, Brazil, in 1964 and moved to Austria in 1990 to study Romance languages and linguistics.
  • After completing her studies, she moved to Germany and has lived there with her husband and daughter since 1996.
  • She worked for many years as a translator for international companies before discovering her passion for writing.
  • In 2025, she published her first volume of poetry in Brazil.

Márcia has been actively involved in WeCare-Association projects since 2021 and sees her work there as an enriching task. She has been a member of the board since February 2025 and contributes her experience in communication and culture to the organization.
